It was designed and created by a type author named AJ Paglia. This is a sans-serif font just like the original logo, and is available in TTF format. The name of the font is cleverly taken from the name of the town in the Jaws movie – ie Amity Island.

About the Jaws typeface
One of famed movie director Steven Spielberg’s first and most notable works, Jaws is an American thriller film (released in 1975) which tells the story of a summer resort town threatened by frequent shark attacks. While its production suffered long delays and went heavily over budget, the film turned out to be a huge financial success. It earned over $470 million at the box office on a budget of only $9 million, and won three Academy Awards. The first film was followed by three sequels, and even given its own theme park ride.
