Gorillaz font
The name of the Gorillaz font that is most similar to the one that is used in the album logo lettering of this famous music group, is a typeface by the name of Gorillaz 1. It was designed and created by the font author known as Kasper “Coreper” van de Laar, and was first released in December 2006.
This is a freeware font, which effectively means that you can use it in all of your personal web design or graphic design projects.
The Gorillaz have their own Gorillaz font. This graffiti-style typeface is a mess! But that’s by design, the lettering is incredibly uneven, with each letter being differently sized. It may not sound like the most appealing font, but it’s incredibly popular with the whole underground movement. This band is still active today with their most recent activity being a music-based web series called Song Machine that started back in 2020. This band has helped to pave the way for various other artists out there to have a music career whilst also retaining their anonymity.

About the Gorillaz typeface
The Gorillaz are known as the band that didn’t exist! They did exist but through animation. Founded in 1998 this award-winning band was created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett. The duo took a lot of inspiration from Daft Punk. They realized that part of the draw of Daft Punk was the fact there was a mysterious element around them. So, they took this style and ran with it creating an entirely animated band. The Gorillaz are famous for songs like Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry, and O Green World. You may think that the band isn’t able to perform live, well, you’d be wrong! The animated band has toured to sold-out venues all over the world.
